H.E. Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr.
President of the Republic of Liberia
Sworn in as the 26th President of the Republic of Liberia on January 22, 2024, President Boakai brings decades of public service to the nation’s highest office. He previously served as Vice President of Liberia from 2006 to 2018 under President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, and earlier as Minister of Agriculture.
His administration is focused on national rebuilding, economic growth, anti-corruption reform, and strengthening Liberia’s bilateral and multilateral partnerships across the globe.
