The Liberia Business Registry (LBR) serves as a one-stop shop for business registration in Liberia. Any entity intending to commence business activities in the country must first be registered with the LBR. The registration process has been streamlined to improve efficiency and accessibility for entrepreneurs and investors.

To begin the process, an applicant submits a business registration application, provides the required supporting documents, and pays the applicable registration fee. Detailed information regarding fees and procedures is available on the official Liberia Business Registry website at www.lbr.gov.lr.

Once the application is reviewed and approved, the applicant is issued a Business Registration Certificate, which formally authorizes the entity to operate in Liberia. The company registration application must be submitted directly to the Liberia Business Registry office. For a limited liability company, the required documents include the Registration Form (RF-001), Articles of Incorporation, and copies of identification documents attached to the Empowered Person Form (Form A) or Registered Agent Form (Form B). Additional documentation may be required depending on the structure of the business, including the Incorporator(s) Form (E), Shares and Shareholder(s) Form (Form F), and the Tax Authority Information Form (Form Q).
