Your One-Stop Shop for Business Registration
The Liberia Business Registry (LBR) serves as the country’s one-stop shop for business registration, providing a streamlined and efficient process for entrepreneurs and investors to formally establish their businesses in Liberia. The LBR consolidates all registration requirements into a single window, eliminating the need to visit multiple government agencies and significantly reducing the time and cost of starting a business.
Whether you are registering a sole proprietorship, partnership, limited liability company, or corporation, the LBR guides you through each step of the process and ensures full compliance with Liberian business laws and regulations.

Registration Process
Registering a business with the LBR follows a clear, step-by-step process designed to be completed efficiently:
Business Name Search and Reservation
Submit a name search request to verify that your desired business name is available. Once confirmed, the name is reserved for a specified period while you complete the remaining registration steps.
Prepare Required Documents
Gather all necessary documents for your business type. For a Limited Liability Company (LLC), this includes the Registration Form, Articles of Incorporation, identification documents, and various statutory forms.
Submit Application
Submit your completed application along with all required documents to the LBR. Applications can be submitted in person at the LBR office or through the online portal at www.lbr.gov.lr.
Pay Registration Fees
Pay the applicable registration fees as determined by the type and size of your business. The LBR provides a clear fee schedule, and payments can be made through approved channels.
Review and Approval
The LBR reviews your application and supporting documents for completeness and compliance. If all requirements are met, the registration is approved and your business certificate is issued.
Receive Business Registration Certificate
Upon approval, you will receive your Business Registration Certificate, along with your Tax Identification Number (TIN) and other relevant documentation. Your business is now formally registered and authorized to operate in Liberia.
